BREAKING: NAACP CALLS FOR TRUMP’S REMOVAL UNDER 25TH AMENDMENT

 

n a historic first, the NAACP has called for President Donald Trump to be removed from office under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment, marking the first time in the organization’s history it has made such a demand.

NAACP President Derrick Johnson urged Vice President JD Vance and Cabinet officials to consider invoking the constitutional provision, citing what the organization described as concerns over Trump’s health, behavior and ability to carry out the duties of the presidency.

“This president is unfit, unwell, and unhinged,” Johnson said.

Section 4 allows the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet to declare that a president is unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office, triggering a constitutional process that can ultimately involve Congress.
