Presley Gerber, the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, died Sunday at 27 in a suspected overdose. Now, a forensic expert shares an eerie theory about what could’ve happened before he died.

Presley Gerber, the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, as well as brother to model Kaia Gerber, was found dead at the Resolutions Living rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday. He was only 27 years old.

Presley Gerber had reportedly battled substance abuse for nearly a decade. Before his death, he had also been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction.

He spoke publicly about his substance abuse and shared parts of his journey on social media. The son of Cindy Crawford even turned to the controversial substance ibogaine in an attempt to break free from it.

On Monday, the Santa Monica Police Department released two separate statements on Gerber’s death. Officials are investigating Gerber’s death as a suspected overdose.

“Death was pronounced at 09:45 hours on September 20, 2026, by responding paramedics. The Santa Monica Police Department is the investigating law enforcement agency,” it read.

The autopsy was completed on Monday. In a separate statement issued shortly afterward, the Medical Examiner’s Office said it was still in the “early stages” of investigating Presley’s death, adding that “limited information is currently available.”

Cindy Crawford, her husband Rande and daughter Kaia released a short statement on Sunday, asking for privacy. There are still many questions surrounding the 27-year-old’s death, whose body was released on Tuesday after authorities finished their autopsy.

Forensic analyst Joseph Scott Morgan has given his thoughts about the investigation into Presley Gerber’s death and shared an eerie theory. What really went on inside the facility?

Morgan, who has handled several cases involving suspected overdoses at rehabilitation centers, spoke to News Nation, saying that those types of investigations can become “very, very complex very quickly.”

“I think my big question, being that this is a rehab center, is: Was he checked? Were any of his visitors checked? Did anybody bring anything in at all?” Morgan asked.

The forensic expert explained that the medical examiner is expected to conduct a broad toxicology screening, which can detect a wide range of substances, from synthetic drugs to even something as common as aspirin.

But according to Morgan, investigators will look at more than whether a substance was present. The amount found in Gerber’s system could matter just as much.

Questions have also been raised over why officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to the rehabilitation center after the 911 call. However, Morgan said their response should not come as a surprise.

“This is a young man who should not be deceased. They’re going to respond to this,” he said.

The forensic analyst added that investigators generally have to approach a death with an open mind until they know exactly what happened.

“Our working assumption in any death investigation is that every death is suspicious. You have to work from that perspective in order to arrive at a thorough finding at the end,” Joseph Scott Morgan told News Nation.

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, help is available 24 hours a day through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Hotline at 1-800-662-4357.

Naomi Greer-Wilkinson, 25, suffered a catastrophic brain injury after riding the X2 roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California.

Closed since July 12, the X2 roller coaster sends riders plunging 200 feet at speeds of up to 76 mph, through multiple half-loops while their seats spin 360 degrees around the track.

Naomi’s dad, Joshua Wilkinson, told CNN that the horrifying incident “had damaged part” of his daughter’s brain, and it began “to bleed.” She was rushed to the hospital and had to undergo emergency surgery before being placed in an induced coma.

The 25-year-old has now been on a ventilator for two months after riding the roller coaster.

“I do remember one of the surgeons storming through the ER and yelling: ‘How many is it this month? They’ve got to shut that ride down!’ He was furious,” her mother, Artemis Greer, said.

“Naomi should have never, ever in a million years, even had the option to get on that ride. It’s absolutely insane,” she added.

However, Naomi’s case is not the first serious medical emergency associated with the ride.

Forty-year-old Pamela Guillen, who was treated at the same hospital as Naomi, hit her head multiple times against the headrest during the ride and subsequently began vomiting, according to VT. She was later confirmed to have suffered a brain hemorrhage and, like Naomi, had to undergo emergency surgery.

The medical professionals responsible for treating both women issued a statement that they shared with CNN.

“In our professional opinion, the severe brain injuries requiring emergent neurosurgical attention were the result of a traumatic rapid acceleration-deceleration event experienced while on the X2 ride,” the email read.

Six Flags has not publicly commented on the incidents but has previously defended X2 in court.

The company argued that a warning sign tells riders that “there are inherent risks in the participation in or on any amusement ride or attraction.”

Its attorneys also said the ride is regularly tested and that the physical forces riders experience are not strong enough to cause a traumatic brain injury to a “normal” rider who uses the attraction “as instructed.”

Heartbreaking details have emerged…

by

A young couple was just days away from getting engaged when a devastating incident involving a firearm ended both of their lives.

Landon Lowrance, 22, allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, 21-year-old CloeRae McBrayer, while handling a gun. McBrayer was studying to become a teacher.

According to the Fairbanks Police Department, Lowrance was “playing with the gun and pointing it at her” when he fired a revolver, striking McBrayer.

A friend of the couple immediately called 911 and remained on the line as the situation unfolded. Police said the dispatcher could hear “a disturbance” happening in the background.

The friend reportedly tried to step in after Lowrance picked up another firearm.

Police said the caller “attempted to physically intervene when Lowrance obtained another firearm and shot himself,” according to VT.

McBrayer was already dead when first responders arrived at the scene. Lowrance, who was “Critically injured,” was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, but he died shortly after arriving.

Investigators have said the friend who made the emergency call was not considered responsible for either shooting. Police said the caller “was interviewed by detectives and is not believed to have been involved in the shootings.”

The Fairbanks Police Department described what happened as “a tragic and preventable loss of life” and urged people to “practise firearm safety at all times.”

Lowrance’s family has since spoken about the tragedy in a heartbreaking social media post shared by his brother, emphasizing that firearm safety had been part of his life from a young age.

The family said: “Landon’s story is a heartbreaking reminder that gun safety must never be taken for granted.

“Landon was raised in a family where firearm safety was taught from an early age. He took gun safety courses as a child, joined the military after graduation, and received additional firearms training. Despite being well-trained, complacency tragically entered the picture, and CloeRae’s life was taken.

“During the 911 call, Landon became overwhelmed with grief and heartbreak over what had happened and took his own life. Anyone who knew Landon knows that he had one of the biggest, kindest, and most caring hearts.

“This tragedy does not erase the person he was, but it is a devastating reminder of how quickly one moment of complacency can change multiple lives forever.

“Please keep both families in your prayers during this unimaginable time. Please also remember Landon’s roommate, who was present when this tragedy occurred.

“We ask for prayers, compassion, and privacy for everyone affected as our families try to navigate this heartbreaking loss.”

A firefighter was left without

by

Patrick Hardison received devastating injuries in a house fire as he attempted to rescue a woman he believed to be trapped in the blaze.

This brave man was left with third-degree burns to his entire face and scalp – for years, he wore a baseball cap, sunglasses, and prosthetic ears in public.

Patrick recalled children running away when they saw him, but his life changed again in 2015 when he underwent the most extensive face transplant ever.

As per reports, Hardison had a 50/50 chance of surviving the face transplant. However, the surgery, which took 26 hours and more than 100 people working in two teams, was a success. Today, Patrick Hardison is living life alongside his beloved wife and children.

Here’s all you need to know about his incredible story – and what Patrick looks like today.

Today, we have so much knowledge about the human body. Doctors, nurses, surgeons, and all others in the field of medicine are true heroes, doing everything they can to help people get better. Moreover, it’s mind-blowing what can be done to save a life these days. Take, for example, surgeons who can replace a heart or a kidney.

With the knowledge experts have today, it’s even possible to completely transform a person’s face for those in need. Face transplants have been performed since 2005, when Isabelle Dinoire became the first-ever person to receive one. In 2015, another very special face transplant was performed in the US, when Patrick Hardison became the first American to undergo the procedure.

Like any other loving father, Patrick attended his children’s sporting activities and liked spending time with his family. The volunteer fireman always endeavored to help his community in any way he could.

One day in 2001, though, the lives of he and his family would change forever.

Patrick was called out to a house fire, where he sustained extensive facial burns to his upper torso, head, and neck. The blaze also claimed his ears, lips, most of his eyelid tissue, and most of his nose.

It seemed as though he was destined to face a life of children running away from him and other parents whispering and pointing. But in 2015, the most extensive face transplant ever performed became a reality.

Patrick had only a 50/50 chance of surviving the procedure, such was its complexity. Today, he has an entirely new face – and looks nothing short of incredible. Here’s all you need to know about the mind-blowing story of Patrick Hardison.

Patrick Hardison from Mississippi worked as a volunteer firefighter earlier on in his life. In 2001, he responded to a house fire when a horrible accident occurred.

Hardison was inside a burning home when it collapsed on top of him.

“[My mask] was melting to my face,” Hardison said. “My hose [was] already melted.”

He managed to escape through a window, but his head and upper body were already on fire, and Patrick suffered horrific injuries.

“For somebody who does what we do for a living, I’ve never seen anybody burned that bad that was still alive,” friend and first responder Jimmy Neal recalled of seeing Hardison after the accident.

The father had third-degree burns on his entire face and scalp. In addition, he sustained facial burns to his head, neck, and upper torso. The fire also claimed his ears, lips, most of his nose, and even most of his eyelid tissue.

“I didn’t actually see myself until probably November. I got injured in September,” Hardison told Fox News. “They had cut a little pinhole in one of my eyelids because they had everything covered, skin graft. I looked in the mirror and all I could do, I said, ‘this is it? I can’t do this,'” he recalled.

A new life awaited Hardison. He underwent 71 surgeries and several other procedures, but he was still unable to form normal facial expressions. Patrick couldn’t eat or laugh without feeling pain, and he couldn’t even blink or close his eyes.

Surgeons eventually used flaps of skin to protect his vision. Still, he remained at risk of slowly but surely going blind.

As the years went by, Patrick had difficulties accepting his appearance. Just being with his children – or by himself, for that matter – became a nightmare. People pointed at him, and the children were scared.

Patrick always wore a baseball cap and sunglasses, along with specially designed prosthetics that replaced his ears.

“I had kids. It was just a tough time. I never got a day off from the injury. When you walk out in public, it was daily. And, you know, it’s just so — there’s no way to explain everything,” he said.

“You go to the ball field, you have to prepare yourself for the kid that goes running off screaming.”

For years, Patrick battled pain and staring from people when walking down the street. He was losing all hope of living an ordinary life, and started to think that his disfigured appearance was one he would be cursed with forever.

But as time went by, surgeons developed new methods for face transplants. Finally, in 2005, Isabelle Dinoire became the first-ever person to have a face transplant. Hardison, though, had given up hope of getting the help he desperately wanted.

Then, one day, a friend stumbled across Dr. Eduardo D. Rodriguez, who worked at the NYU Langone Medical Center in New York. Rodriquez had performed a face transplant before, so the search began to find a donor for Patrick.

After a year, Hardison’s search had turned up just two potential donors. The first one was a good match – but the tissue profile was not.

The second candidate looked very promising. However, the man’s family withdrew him from consideration.

Hardison was preparing to accept that he might never get a face transplant. Then, out of the blue, another potential donor emerged. LiveOnNY, a nonprofit that coordinates organ donations in the New York area, had found a match. The face belonged to David Rodebaugh, a 26-year-old who had sustained a massive head injury in a bike accident and had been declared brain dead.

After David passed away, his mother, Nancy Millar, decided to donate her son’s organs, including his liver, heart, and kidneys. More importantly, she decided to also donate his face.

“I said, ‘You better save his face. He has the face of a porcelain doll.’ And he’s a donor — we had talked about it,” Millar told People.

She didn’t hesitate for a second when she heard about Patrick and the possibility of him getting a face transplant. For her, it was a chance for David to live on.

“When I met Patrick, I saw this strength, this strong, manly, burly kind of energy in him — that David had,” she recalled.

“David wanted to be a firefighter, an I knew if this guy was a firefighter — he was willing to walk into a fire to save people and risk his own life — then he had the strength that David had.”

Dr. Eduardo D. Rodriguez assembled his team of 100 doctors, nurses, and other medical aides, and together they prepared for Hardison’s surgery. It was the most extensive soft tissue face transplant ever performed – the surgery took a whopping 26 hours.

The medical team gave Hardison a new face, scalp, ears, and ear canals. They selected portions of bone from the chin, cheeks, and the entire nose. Not only that, but Patrick also received new eyelids, restoring his ability to blink naturally.

But the surgery was not without risk. Due to the highly complex nature of the procedure, Patrick had only a 50/50 chance of surviving.

“Everything in life has a risk,” Hardison told Time Magazine.

“When it’s your time to go, you’ll go—whether you’re walking down the street and get hit by a car or you’re lying on the operating table.”

Prior to the surgery, Patrick met his family for what could have been the last time.

His eldest daughter Alison wondered why her father was so desperate to go through with the procedure.

“He said, ‘I won’t have to wear a ball cap and I won’t have to wear my sunglasses. I’ll look normal whenever I get to walk you down the aisle,'” Alison recalled Patrick saying.

“And that right then pretty much sealed the deal for me.”

Fortunately, the procedure was a big success, though it was only the start of a very long journey for Patrick. During the first week following the operation, he endured late-night scares involving fluctuations in blood pressure and an unstable airway.

The new face also meant that he had to learn how to speak and swallow again, and he suffered from both anxiety and had bouts of frustration because of it. He couldn’t even close his mouth because his face was so swollen.

Despite all that, the surgery was life-changing. Not only did Patrick experience the joy of seeing his family again, but he also met David Rodebaugh’s mother, Nancy Millar. Their first encounter after the surgery was emotional, and Nancy had one request.

“I said, ‘Can I kiss your forehead?'” Millar said. “That’s the one thing I wanted to do because every night before David went to bed when he was little, I kissed his forehead.”

“I’ve been waiting a year to meet her. I’m just very grateful,” Patrick said. “Without her, it wouldn’t have been possible. It’s like she’s family. We connected that easily.”

It’s now been eleven years since Patrick underwent his face transplant. Since then, his life has changed plenty – he and Chrissi divorced a year after the surgery, following ten years of marriage.

Hardison’s face healed nicely, and the swelling has gone down. Though he has to take anti-rejection drugs for the rest of his life to stop his body’s immune system from fighting the inserted transplant, it has given him the chance to live again.

“I am deeply grateful to my donor and his family,” Hardison said in a statement.

“Even though I did not know who they would be, I prayed for them every day, knowing the difficult decision they would have to make in order to help me. “

“I hope they see in me the goodness of their decision. I also want to thank Dr. Rodriguez and his amazing team. They have given me more than a new face. They have given me a new life.”

Today, the father-of-five wants to use his journey and recovery to spread the message that it’s never too late to give up. Patrick stands for hope, and he desires to help others struggling with debilitating injuries.

“I’ve bought my own place, working on getting a house built. I’m working on a book,” Hardison told Fox in 2021.

“Because I want to show the world that you can have hope. I wouldn’t want people that were like me years ago to think that’s it, I have to live like this. You don’t. You can accomplish anything.”

Patrick Hardison’s recovery is a miracle, and we are incredibly inspired by surgeon Dr. Eduardo D. Rodriguez and his team. You are the real heroes!

Please share this article on Facebook with friends and family to honor the work of the medical staff who helped Patrick get his life back.

Donald Trump was determined to make a big impression when Chinese President Xi Jinping touched down in the U.S. And one moment during the welcome quickly went viral – and it had to do with Trump.

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday evening. His wife, Peng Liyuan, accompanied him.

Donald Trump and Melania were waiting to greet them, after which a ceremony followed. It included military bands, fighter jets, and a huge 100-foot red carpet. And, of course, it included a dramatic fly-by.

As the U.S. and Chinese national anthems played, two B-1 bombers flew overhead, producing an enormous roar. Trump appeared to enjoy it, looking up and saluting the passing aircraft.

However, the same can’t be said about President Xi. In fact, he didn’t look impressed. Video from the moment shows Xi Jinping standing next to Trump as the bombers thundered across the sky, with the U.S. president appearing to flinch at the noise. Meanwhile, Xi remained unfazed.

The moment flyover quickly sparked debates online. Some even suggested that the display may have been intended to demonstrate American military power in front of Xi.

Whether Donald Trump personally ordered the flyover as an ‘intimidation tactic’ is unknown. However, the timing surely made the moment stand out.

The B-1 Lancer is a long-range, supersonic bomber capable of carrying weapons over long distances. Using the B-1 for the flyover added another layer to an already well-choreographed welcome.

President Xi’s visit comes as the United States and China continue to navigate major disagreements over trade and other issues.

The two leaders are also expected to discuss topics including Russia, Iran and artificial intelligence during their meetings. Xi’s visit is his first to the US since 2015, when Barack Obama was president.

But for many watching the arrival, the unexpected moment between Trump and Xi during the flyover stole the show.

Let's just say... not everyone

by

After a father spent 45 minutes holding his daughter’s head so she could sleep comfortably on a flight, the touching moment quickly spread across social media and sparked a heated online debate. While many admired the gesture and called it “precious,” others argued that he was raising a “hopeless damsel in distress” with no “problem-solving skills.”

About three years ago, a Reddit user shared a snapshot to the subreddit MadeMeSmile that captured a doting father cradling his daughter’s head with his hand – for 45 minutes straight – so she could sleep comfortably during a flight. Instead of having her use a pillow or the seat for support, the dad – sitting directly behind her – leaned forward and held out his hand so his little girl could rest her head and drift off to sleep.

The post, titled “This man kept his hand in this position for 45 minutes so his daughter could sleep well,” quickly went viral, earning more than 67,000 upvotes and sparking thousands of comments.

While many called the gesture heartwarming, others couldn’t help but raise some practical concerns. One user commented: “I feel like… I feel like there’s a better way,” while a second wrote: “Shows a distinct lack of creative problem solving. 45 min you say and couldn’t think of a practical solution?”

Another joked, “Tired of having your hand fall asleep just so someone else can too? Introducing: ‘The Pillow!’ ‘The Pillow’ comes with state-of-the-art cushion technology for all of your head-supporting needs. Say goodbye to numb hands and say hello to ‘The Pillow!’”

Others offered suggestions that might have saved the dad some muscle fatigue: “Seriously. Roll up a hoodie jacket and bam! Insta-pillow. Or here’s a crazy thought: ask a flight attendant for a blanket and pillow.”

Still, many users defended the dad’s decision, pointing out that small moments like these create lasting memories.

“When my son falls asleep with his face in my hand I literally melt inside and could just stare at him for hours,” one person wrote. “Granted, he’s a toddler, but still, I don’t think that feeling ever fades.”

Another, guessing that the girl was a teenager or preteen, shared the moment was “precious.” “This was probably the first time this dad held his daughter while she slept in years. I can imagine why he didn’t want to give up that opportunity, and chose to treasure it, even if an airplane pillow or even just a balled-up jumper might’ve made more logistical sense,” the Redditor suggests.

Another added a lighter take: “I’ve done that for my dog.”

One critic took a more hardline parenting stance, writing: “I’ll give my 9-month-old daughter that treatment, but when she’s 10 or 12 or 15, she’s [going to need] some problem-solving skills and get a pillow. I’m raising my daughter to be a woman, not a hopeless damsel in distress.”

The discussion didn’t stop at comfort or parenting, though. Several commenters questioned the ethics of photographing and posting strangers online – especially when children are involved.

“Why are we okay with taking photos of strangers and posting them online? They’re people, not objects.”

Another quipped: “Awww so heartwarming! I love photographing strangers and their kids in public without their consent!!!”

Despite the differing opinions, the image struck a chord. Whether you see it as a sweet display of parenting or a missed opportunity to improvise with travel gear, this father’s quiet sacrifice clearly resonated with thousands of viewers.

Is this something you’d ever do for your child? Before you share this story, please let us know what you think!

Brad Pitt’s mysterious tattoo isn’t

by

Brad Pitt has plenty of tattoos, but one piece of ink on his forearm has recently left fans wondering about the story behind it.

People get tattoos for all kinds of reasons. Some mark important moments in their lives, while others choose designs simply because they like the way they look.

Then there are tattoos that leave everyone else trying to figure out the story behind them. Brad Pitt appears to have one of those.

The actor is no stranger to body art. But one design on his left forearm has recently caught the attention of fans.

At first glance, the tattoo looks fairly simple. It features an outline of a man, with the word “Invictus” written underneath.

One curious fan took to Twitter and asked Grok if it could explain what the tattoo was supposed to mean, writing: “Hey @grok what’s the secret meaning behind this tattoo?,” according to UNILAD.

According to the AI chatbot, the mysterious figure is actually Ötzi the Iceman.

Grok explained: “It’s Brad Pitt’s left forearm ink. The stick figure is an outline of Ötzi the Iceman (5300-year-old Alpine mummy, himself tattooed).”

Ötzi has become one of the most famous ancient mummies ever discovered. He lived more than 5,000 years ago and was found by hikers in the Alps in 1991.

Since his discovery, researchers have learned an extraordinary amount about his life and final days, including details about his last meal and the violent circumstances surrounding his death.

Ötzi’s mummy, along with the artifacts discovered with him, has been displayed at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano, Italy, since 1998.

And then there’s the word beneath the figure.

Grok explained that “‘Invictus’ is Latin for unconquered” and connected the word to William Ernest Henley’s poem of the same name, which centers on resilience and remaining in control of one’s fate despite hardship.

However, there is one important detail missing from the explanation: Pitt himself has not given a deeper personal explanation for the tattoo.

For now, that leaves the meaning of the unusual piece of ink open to interpretation.

These nursery rhymes have sparked

by

Ms Rachel has become something of a phenomenon, at least among families with toddlers and young children. But while she has proven to be a great learning resource, she also has strong opinions on certain things. Recently, she revealed which three nursery rhymes she believes should be banned.

Ms. Rachel is no stranger to speaking out about important issues around the world. But this time, her latest complaint is about something a little closer to home.

The American YouTuber, whose full name is Rachel Accurso, has built a huge following on social media through her wildly popular educational videos for children. With years of experience teaching young viewers, Ms. Rachel certainly knows what keeps kids learning and engaged.

At the heart of Ms. Rachel’s work is one simple goal: doing what she believes is best for children. And as more parents turn to iPads and YouTube to keep their kids entertained, it’s easy to see why her educational videos have become so popular with families worldwide.

However, now, Ms. Rachel is turning her attention to something a little different. And it involves things she believes should not be taught.

She has pointed out several beloved nursery rhymes that she believes should be “retired,” as some have what the YouTuber considers to be lyrics with undertones of racism.

So the ones that really need to be retired are racist ones. Jimmy Crack Corn, Oh! Susanna, Eeny, meeny, miny, moe,” Ms. Rachel said on the SubwayTakes podcast.

“Jimmy Crack Corn,” which dates back to the 1840s, has been criticized for its links to slavery as well as for ridiculing enslaved African Americans.

Moreover, “Oh! Susanna” also emerged from the same era of 19th-century blackface minstrel shows.

Finally, “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.” has older versions that contain a deeply offensive racial slur, which was later replaced with the word “tiger.”

Ms. Rachel’s thoughts of ‘banning’ these nursery rhymes sparked a lot of reactions on social media.

Per OK! In the comment section on a clip from the podcast on TikTok, one person wrote, “In ‘eenie meenie’ in Ireland, at least where I’m from, the words were always ‘catch a tiger by the toe'”.

A second added, “I feel so seen for hating the three little kittens rhyme. She didn’t even mention the worst part, where the mom tells them to put on their mittens to eat the pie and then SCOLDS THEM FOR GETTING THEM DIRTY? Genuinely always hated that rhyme even when I was a kid.”

A third said: “I don’t have kids, so I’ve never actually heard Miss Rachel speak before… I now see why everyone loves her.”

What do you think of Ms. Rachel’s suggestion? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

With heavy hearts, we announce

For anyone who grew up watching the gritty, larger-than-life spaghetti Westerns of the 1960s and ’70s, Richard Harrison was a familiar face.

The American actor, who found fame far from Hollywood, has died at the age of 90.

According to producer and longtime friend Joan Borsten, Harrison died Friday of natural causes in Los Angeles.

Born in Salt Lake City on May 26, 1936, Harrison arrived in Hollywood at just 17, determined to make a name for himself. Before landing his first acting roles, he worked at gyms owned by bodybuilders Vic Tanny and Bert Goodrich and even modeled for beefcake magazines.

He later trained as an actor under renowned teacher Sandy Meisner at Fox, which helped him begin building a career with small roles in films such as Kronos, Jeanne Eagels, Too Much, Too Soon, South Pacific and Tall Story.

But it was after leaving Hollywood for Italy that Harrison’s career truly took off. With his muscular physique and rugged good looks, he quickly became a natural fit for the sword-and-sandal movies that were sweeping European cinemas, establishing himself as a leading man far from home.

His breakthrough came with The Invincible Gladiator in 1962, where he stepped into the kind of heroic role that had made stars such as Steve Reeves famous.

He soon became a recognizable face of the Italian film industry, appearing in movies including Avenger of the Seven Seas and Gladiator 7. In 1963, he starred in Gunfight in the Red Sands, an Italian-Spanish spaghetti Western featuring music by legendary composer Ennio Morricone.

And Harrison’s connection to one of the most famous Westerns ever made could have been very different.

He turned down the lead role in Sergio Leone’s A Fistful of Dollars in 1964. Harrison later said he recommended his fellow American expat Clint Eastwood for the part instead — a decision that helped launch Eastwood toward international stardom.

”After I affirmed I would not do the film they read me three names of actors from Hollywood that had been sent to them. Since they did not know who they were they asked me to recommend one of them. I knew of all three. My choice was Clint, only because he knew how to ride a horse. So many American actors were not able to ride well,” Harrison told Nanarland.

As work in Europe began to slow toward the end of the 1970s, Harrison took another unexpected turn. He headed to Hong Kong, where he spent roughly a decade appearing in a long list of low-budget ninja movies.

”This experience made me feel very dirty. I really felt like a prostitute. They were thrown in my face all the time. I saw part of one once, it had something to do with witches. I don’t think I had more than a couple of scenes in it,” Harrison later shared.

By the time his career was over, Harrison had appeared in more than 100 B-movies and had even directed several of them.

Although the films were often seen as a less prestigious chapter of his career, several have since gained a loyal cult following among fans.

His final film appearances came in the 1993 erotic thriller Angel Eyes and the 2000 movie Jerks.

For generations of movie fans, his films remain a reminder of a very different era of cinema — when rugged heroes, dusty Western towns, six-shooters and unforgettable Morricone soundtracks filled the screen.

Richard Harrison may not have become a household name in America, but for those who remember the golden age of spaghetti Westerns, his face is one many won’t soon forget.

Cindy Crawford is mourning the death of her only son, Presley Gerber, who passed away on Sunday. Tributes have poured in; however, one former Fox host is being slammed for her disgusting comments. Megyn Kelly voiced her opinion and attacked Crawford’s late son.

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber lost their only son, Presley Gerber, on Sunday at age 27. The son of the supermodel and businessman died in a suspected overdose at a rehabilitation clinic in Santa Monica, California.

The family shared a short statement following Presley’s death, saying they are “asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

But while many have shown their support for Cindy Crawford and her family, others have decided to attack them. On Monday, former Fox News host MegynKelly shared her opinions on Presley’s death Monday – by attacking Cindy Crawford’s parenting style“Let’s face it, both kids were commercialized. He said he was signed when he was 15. And Cindy Crawford of all people should have known the dangers of that. She should have known the dangers,” Kelly said on her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show.

“When your 21-year-old son is getting a face tattoo and the word he chooses to tattoo is ‘misunderstood,’ you’ve got serious problems in your family,” she continued, referring to Presley’s 2020 tattoo. “That’s an all-hands-on-deck situation.”

The podcaster shared a clip of the comments on Presley Gerber and Cindy Crawford on X. However, the response might not have been what she expected. In the comment section, many social media users attacked her for it.

“You are a trash human. Who do you think you are to criticize a mother after she lost her son. Fact: people die from drugs every day. Career, class, parenting do not matter,” one user wrote on X.

Another added, “What is wrong with you? Disrespecting the parents of their beloved, dead son. Your kids are still small. I hope you never experience this type of loss and then have some mouthpiece opine about the parents’ failure. Sick.”

A third wrote, “A young man is dead, and your first instinct is to critique his parents. This isn’t insight. It’s cruelty dressed up as commentary.”

“I will not listen because if you are bashing the mother or the parents the day of their son’s dead by addiction your level of compassion is less than zero. You are a despicable human being,” a fourth wrote.

A fifth stated, “Please just leave them alone. This is such a sad and tragic experience for a family to go through. Some empathy, PLEASE. ”

“As the mother of an addict, my heart is broken for the Gerber family. Addiction doesn’t care who you are or where you come from. Then add mental health struggles, and it becomes every parents’ worst nightmare,” a sixth user said.

Another raged, “I think you should hold judgment until your kids are in their mid-20s. Addiction can happen to anyone. Shaming a whole family who just lost a child they loved is absolutely disgusting. You are so ignorant.

One social media user simply stated, “You are vile and disgusting. Did I mention soulless?

Mind blown ‘Summer of ’69’

by

For decades, fans have belted out Bryan Adams’ iconic hit “Summer of ’69”, thinking it was a nostalgic ode to the year of love, music, and carefree days.

But the Canadian rock legend has pulled back the curtain on the song’s true, slightly cheeky meaning — and it’s a little more… adult.

You know a song has truly stood the test of time when it hits you with a wave of nostalgia you never even lived. To me, “Summer of ’69” hasn’t been just about a year. It’s about that feeling of youth, freedom, and first love that everyone carries in their own way.

Whether your “summer of ’69” happened in 1969, 1982, or even 1995, the memories, the excitement, the heartbreak – they’re all the same.

But after reading the artist’s own explanation of the song, I might think about it a little differently from now on…

Released on his 1984 album Reckless and later as a single in 1985, “Summer of ’69” has long been celebrated for lines like, “I got my first real six-string / Bought it at the five and dime / Played it ’til my fingers bled…” and “Those were the best days of my life.” The music video shows Adams and his band hanging out in a garage, strumming guitars and reliving those teenage memories.

But as Adams told CBS News in 2008, the “69” isn’t about a year at all.

“A lot of people think it’s about the year… It’s more about making love in the summertime. It’s using the ‘69’ as a sexual reference,” he said, prompting a few blushes among fans who’d been singing along innocently for decades.

He later joked with The Sunday Times: “I was going to call the song ‘Best Days of My Life,’ but mentioning ‘69’ felt a bit more provocative. Isn’t this talk a bit sexy for breakfast time?”

Co-writer Jim Vallance has offered a slightly different take, saying the lyrics also reflect the summers of their youth: “We each had our version of our favorite summer from our teen years and incorporated those memories and thoughts into the lyric.”

Regardless of interpretation, Adams, now 65, says he’s living the “best days” right now.

“The best days are now, always now,” he told The Sunday Times. “When I wrote that song I was trying hard to imagine or fantasize what life would hold, but I’m there now and, you know, it’s great.”

And even decades later, Adams still brings the energy to the stage. During a July 2023 concert in Salt Lake City, an unruly fan hopped on stage mid-performance of “Summer of ’69.” Security quickly intervened, but Adams didn’t miss a beat, nailing the iconic line, “Was the summer of ’69.”

He later shared the hilarious moment on Instagram with the caption: “Sometimes you just gotta laugh… #stagecrasher #summerof69.”

What memories do you have of “Summer of ’69”? Did you know the meaning behind the song? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!

Duncan Sheik, the voice behind one of the most unforgettable songs of the 1990s, and arguably the soundtrack to the summer of 1996, has died aged just 56.

The singer-songwriter, best known for his ’96 hit Barely Breathing, reportedly passed away last week on Thursday, September 17, in Manhattan.

His mother, Suzanne Sheik, confirmed to The New York Times that he died from heart failure that led to cardiac arrest. Sheik had been receiving medical care in the days leading up to his death, with a statement from his family saying he was in “critical but stable” condition just one day before he died.

For many fans, Sheik will forever be associated with Barely Breathing. Released on his self-titled debut album, the song became a huge success, spending 55 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching No. 16.

It also earned Sheik a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Yet the success of Barely Breathing turned out to be just the start of a career that would eventually lead him to musical theatre.

Working with lyricist Steven Sater, Sheik composed the music for Spring Awakening, the Broadway musical about teenagers coming of age in 19th-century Germany.

The production became a phenomenon, winning eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, as well as a Grammy for its cast album.

Sheik ultimately worked on a string of other stage projects, including American Psycho, Alice by Heart, Whisper House and The Secret Life of Bees. He continued recording his own music too, with his final album, Claptrap, released in 2022.

In a statement shared after his death, his family described Sheik as a father, husband, son, brother and friend, remembering his sensitivity, wit, intelligence and “depth of spirit.” He is survived by his wife, Nora Ariffin, and their seven-year-old daughter, Ines.

by

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not moved to the UK silently. The couple has been involved in quite the controversy surrounding their children’s school. Now, neighbors are reportedly fed up with Meghan’s demands for special treatment.

Meghan and Prince Harry made the Cotswolds their home at the start of their UK move.

The Duchess has been spotted several times in the Cotswolds in recent weeks. She was reportedly seen at a local pub with friends Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, and at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse earlier this month.

However, much of the media attention so far has been about the Duke and Duchess’ two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Harry and Meghan pulled their children out of their new UK school after only two days, citing security reasons.

A spokesperson for the couple said they made the decision “following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements.”

Later, reports suggested an incident involving the convoy, which was reportedly split up during the school run, drove the decision. The disruption allegedly left the cars “like sitting ducks” on the road.

Not long after, it was revealed that parents were surprised by Harry and Meghan’s decision, not least because they thought the former royals would have known that it takes time to get to school.

“Parents at the school are completely baffled. You don’t need to be an expert to know how congested that area is. It’s one of the worst places to drive in the UK,” one source told the Daily Mail at the time.

“This was obviously going to happen,” another added.

While Archie and Lilibet have enrolled in a new school, where parents reportedly received a warning letter 24 hours before, Meghan Markle’s return has reportedly caused a stir in the Cotswolds.

Now, one royal expert claims locals are allegedly unhappy over reports that the Duchess has been given “special treatment.” Royal commentator Daisy McAndrew says some locals have been frustrated by alleged requests made during Meghan’s recent time in the area.

Speaking on the Daily Expresso podcast, NBC News royal commentator Daisy McAndrew was asked whether Meghan had become a “recluse” after returning across the pond to the UK.

“Well she’s been in a pub in the Cotswolds this week… she’s been to Soho Farmhouse where my local sources tell me she was asking for special treatment and that hasn’t gone down well on my local WhatsApp group.”

“There’s been muttering in the Cotswolds. There’s been tooth sucking.”

McAndrew explained that the “special treatment” Meghan had asked for was special access to private areas and driveways, among other things.

While special access might be one thing Meghan is after, she and Prince Harry are currently asking for tax-funded security.

Last week, The Sun reported that the decision to withdraw the children from the school came last night as the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) confirmed that Harry’s security arrangements are being reviewed.

While Prince Harry’s security is being reviewed, it has also been announced that Meghan’s will be, too. It’s the first official review the couple have gotten since leaving royal life behind in 2020.

Time will tell whether Harry and Meghan settle in the Cotswolds. But for now, considering the bad publicity surrounding their actions, it might be a good idea for the couple to lay low.

French actress Marina Vlady, a celebrated star who appeared in more than 80 films and won a major acting prize at the Cannes Film Festival, has died at the age of 88.

Vlady died Thursday at home, surrounded by her family and beloved animals, her children confirmed to AFP. In a statement, they described her life as “long and beautiful,” saying she had lived it fully.

Over the course of her remarkable career, Vlady worked alongside some of the biggest names in international cinema, including French New Wave filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard and Hollywood icon Orson Welles.

Her career reached a major milestone in 1963, when she won the Best Actress award at Cannes for her performance in The Conjugal Bed. The role also earned her a Golden Globe.

”It was completely unexpected. I was told the day before; I fell off my chair and quickly slipped on a little black dress,” Vlady once shared.

Just two years later, Vlady took on one of her rare English-language roles, appearing in Orson Welles’ Shakespeare adaptation Chimes at Midnight.

Born into an artistic family, Vlady was the daughter of a former dancer and a former French Army aviator who also performed at the opera. Acting wasn’t her only creative pursuit — she also explored music, recording two albums with her sisters.

Born Catherine Marina de Poliakoff-Baïdaroff in 1938, she grew up in Clichy, near Paris, in a family of Russian immigrants who had fled the aftermath of the revolution. Her father, Vladimir Poliakoff, was an opera singer who had served in the French military, while her mother, Militza, was a former ballet dancer. All four Poliakoff sisters would eventually find their way into the arts.

Vlady’s childhood was anything but conventional.

She left school when she was just 12 and began working at a remarkably young age. She trained as a young dancer at the Paris Opera and appeared on screen as a child, launching a career that would eventually span more than 80 films. At only 16, she received the Suzanne Bianchetti Prize, an award recognizing one of France’s most promising young actresses.

Her early career often focused on her beauty, with Vlady repeatedly cast as seductive or rebellious young women. But she refused to remain confined to that image.

As her career developed, she deliberately moved between commercial movies and more ambitious films, taking on dramatically different characters and working with some of the most respected directors of her generation.

But Vlady’s life extended far beyond the world of film.

She was also known for her involvement in social and political causes, including opposition to the Algerian War and campaigns supporting migrants and access to housing.

She became an outspoken advocate for abortion rights in France at a time when abortion was still illegal in the country and took part in protests against the deportation of Arab workers.

Her personal life also included a notable romance with Soviet singer, actor and poet Vladimir Vysotsky. The two maintained a long-distance relationship for a decade, a chapter of her life she later chronicled in her memoir Vladimir, or the Aborted Flight. Their relationship also inspired several of Vysotsky’s songs.

Later in life, Vlady and her partner, physician and political activist Léon Schwartzenberg, helped establish DAL (Droit au logement), an organization dedicated to fighting for the right to housing.

From acclaimed film roles and international awards to music, activism and a remarkable personal life, Marina Vlady leaves behind a legacy that stretched far beyond the screen.

A British cave diver has died after becoming trapped deep inside an underwater cave system in southwestern France.

The 43-year-old man was discovered Sunday, September 20, two days after he went missing during a dive at the Gouffre de Saint-Sauveur near Calès.

According to local reports, the man was part of a group of eight British cave divers who had entered the site, which is known for attracting experienced divers from around the world.

Rescuers eventually located his body at a depth of approximately 88 meters, or nearly 290 feet, underwater.

The diver is believed to have become caught in a guide line while navigating a particularly narrow section of the cave. He became trapped and was unable to make his way back to the surface.

Emergency crews were first alerted at around 8 p.m. after the man failed to return.

French authorities responded by activating the underground-rescue provisions of the ORSEC emergency system, formally known as the Organisation de la Réponse de Sécurité Civile. Firefighters and specialist cave rescuers were brought in as part of the search.

At one point, there was still hope that the missing diver may have managed to reach an air-filled chamber somewhere inside the cave system.

Rescuers also believed he had entered the caves carrying enough breathing gas for around eight hours, along with a backup tank.

Despite the rescue operation, the man’s body was not located until Sunday.

Cahors public prosecutor Clara Ribeiro confirmed the discovery, saying the body was found at a depth of around 88 meters.

However, retrieving him from the cave has proven far more difficult.

Ribeiro said rescuers were unable to immediately recover the body because of the “extremely difficult” conditions inside the cave, according to LADbible. A recovery operation is expected to take place.

French authorities have also opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

The Gouffre de Saint-Sauveur is a regularly visited destination for experienced cave divers, with divers traveling from around the world to explore the underwater system.

Many of us struggle with our appearance and weight for a variety of reasons.

Even with movements to love ourselves at any size or with more realistic-looking models in advertisements, many people struggle with eating disorders every day around the world.

This woman is sharing her story to help others going through an eating disorder.

Annie Windley is from Derbyshire, England. She is in recovery after years of suffering from undernourishment and now hopes to share her story to help others in her shoes.

The heaviest weight Windley ever hit was never over 29kg, roughly 63 pounds. Her low weight resulted in a multitude of medical complications and put her at high risk of heart attack.

The 21-year-old battled with her eating disorder for five years, a challenge even today. While suffering, the Woolley Moor resident underwent a multitude of hospitalization and medical treatments.

However, according to the young woman, she was able to use her love of running as a method to help her begin to recover. She even completed the Chesterfield Half Marathon in October of last year.

In one of her social media posts, she said, “I came to the delightful realization that rehabilitation is a breathtaking process that should be thrilling, unforgettable, and amazing. I believe that my anorexia will always be a part of me, but I’ve learned to control it and stop thinking about food.”

According to Windley,  “Changing for the better is never too late.”

It was in 2012 that Annie received her diagnosis, and two years later when her recovery began. In October of 2017, she finally decided to fight against her eating disorder.

“I can’t say exactly what occurred, but this time, it was just for myself,” she said online.

“The battle was incredible, and each day was marked by excruciating feelings and extraordinary bravery.

“I’ve put on three stones in the last four months, and I’m now at my heaviest since 2014.”

Her experiences have taught her that it is peoples’ treatment of themselves and others that matters more than anything else, including physical appearance.

“These are the things that will make you happy and are things that are crucial to you,” she said.

Focusing on respect for others and on her own love of running is truly what saved her. Putting the energy she had previously put into restricting her food intake into something that felt like success changed her mindset entirely.

“Pay attention to your enthusiasm and drive to succeed where you wish to go.”

Eating almost nothing but a piece of bread most days previously, Annie was so sick and underweight that she would previously often feel faint or fall. Now she is moving to a healthier weight along with a healthier mindset when it comes to her relationship with her body.

“We must show our disorders that we are able to do so. We don’t want to spend our lives feeling unhappy and full of regret over the things we weren’t able to do due to anorexia.”

Let us know what you think of her incredible journey in the comments!

Vice President JD Vance appeared to be particularly excited as Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at the White House, and a lip-reading expert has offered an analysis of some of the conversations taking place around him.

Nicola Hickling examined exchanges involving Vance, his wife Usha Vance, and Ivanka Trump as the group stood together during Xi’s arrival.

According to Hickling, Vance and Usha appeared to be having a playful exchange about the occasion.

“I’m so excited,” Vance allegedly said, according to The Irish Star.

Hickling said Usha then responded: “You are like a kid who has found their favorite toy.”

Vance’s response after that was brief but enthusiastic: “yay.”

The vice president was also seen speaking with Ivanka Trump, and Hickling interpreted the conversation as an apparent expression of pride in Donald Trump’s role in the event.

“He’s having his moment. So proud of how far it’s all come. How crazy is that?” Vance said, according to the lip reader.

Ivanka appeared to respond with a reminder to let the president enjoy the spotlight.

“Aww, don’t say that. Let him shine,” she said, before adding, “We’re outta the woods now. It’s so funny.”

The conversations took place as Xi arrived in Washington for the second day of a three-day state visit. The Chinese president was accompanied by his wife, Madame Peng Liyuan, as he met with President Donald Trump at the White House.

Trade, artificial intelligence and the broader relationship between the United States and China were among the subjects expected to feature in discussions between the two leaders. Both presidents also spoke from the White House about their shared goal of improving diplomatic relations.

Christa Pike’s final moments will

by

Christa Pike is scheduled to be executed in Tennessee next week — but if the execution goes ahead, something unusual will happen inside the death chamber.

Pike’s spiritual advisor, Buddhist teacher Rev. Mikey Noechel, has now revealed what will happen as Tennessee prepares to execute its first woman in more than 200 years.

Christa Pike’s upcoming execution has drawn significant attention. She is the first woman in more than 180 years to face execution in Tennessee, and her Buddhist faith has become an important part of the discussion surrounding her case and how she will spend her final moments.

Her spiritual advisor, Buddhist teacher Rev. Mikey Noechel, is expected to be with her during the execution.

It is not unusual for a spiritual advisor or religious representative to be allowed inside the execution chamber, particularly in the United States. So, the fact that Christa Pike will have her spiritual advisor with her is not, by itself, unusual.

In Tennessee, it is explicitly permitted. For example, during Harold Wayne Nichols’ execution in 2025, a spiritual advisor was inside the execution chamber and prayed with him during his final minutes.

What is more striking in Pike’s case is what her spiritual advisor says they plan to do once they are inside.

Rev. Mikey Noechel, who has served as Pike’s spiritual advisor for more than two years, recently spoke about what he expects those final moments to look like.

“I’ll be taking her inside of the space where they will be putting her to death and we’ll be walking in with this practice of loving kindness, blessing the whole room with loving kindness…creating this environment of care,” he told WPLN News.

Rather than focusing solely on Pike herself, Noechel says the practice will extend to everyone in the room.

He explained that they intend to say the meditation aloud, wishing for all beings to be “at ease and at peace and gentle” as Pike prepares to die.

It is a striking scene to imagine: inside the room where Tennessee carries out executions, Pike and her spiritual advisor practicing Buddhist loving-kindness meditation as the final procedure takes place.

Noechel says the practice is intended to create an “environment of care” — even in a place associated with death.

Pike was 18 when she was convicted of the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer, a fellow Job Corps student in Knoxville. She has spent nearly three decades on death row.

Her scheduled execution has attracted renewed attention in recent weeks, in part because of her age at the time of the crime and evidence of severe abuse she experienced during childhood.

Her attorneys have asked Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee to commute her death sentence to life without parole, arguing that her history and circumstances deserve consideration. Advocates have also recently urged the governor to stop the execution.

Pike has also challenged Tennessee’s lethal-injection process in court, though a judge rejected most of those challenges in August.

Another unusual aspect of the case is Pike’s request concerning who will be involved in her execution. Her lawyers have asked that only female corrections staff be present in the death chamber, citing her history of sexual abuse and the potential trauma associated with being restrained and handled by men. Tennessee has not guaranteed that request will be granted.

But if the execution goes ahead, Noechel’s presence will add another extraordinary element to the final moments.

Noechel made clear that his role is not to portray Pike as a victim of the crime for which she was convicted. He acknowledged Pike’s responsibility and said she understands why Colleen Slemmer’s loved ones may feel the way they do.

At the same time, he questioned what society gains from another death.

”We’re getting really good at killing, aren’t we? And that’s concerning.”

He said Pike has expressed hope that her death might bring some comfort to Slemmer’s family.

But Noechel said his larger concern is what happens beyond this individual case.

“Yes, she is responsible, but I also feel responsible, and you should feel responsible, and everybody should feel responsible so we can take responsibility.”

For him, the focus is ultimately on preventing another murder rather than simply carrying out another punishment.

And that is why, if Pike enters the death chamber on September 30, Noechel says he won’t be there simply to witness her final moments.

He plans to walk in beside her, practice loving-kindness meditation and attempt to fill the room with compassion, even as the state prepares to take her life.

Meanwhile, Pike’s legal team continues to seek clemency, meaning her scheduled execution could still be delayed or stopped before September 30.

Viewers are warning others about the second episode of Monsters: The Lizzie Borden Story on Netflix, particularly those with “emetophobia.”

Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s latest true crime drama comes with a warning for anyone who likes to eat dinner in front of the TV.

In this new installment in the Monsters Netflix franchise, Murphy and Brennan have chosen Ella Beatty to bring Lizzie Borden to life.

The story follows the infamous Massachusetts woman who was accused of murdering her father and stepmother in 1892. But it’s not just the thrilling story and case itself that has people warning others – in the second episode, something else entirely has left viewers uncomfortable.

The scene shows Lizzie and the maid serving Mr. and Mrs. Borden oysters, which they intend to poison. The plan ends with a horrifying bout of projectile vomiting.

According to Tyla, one person on Reddit called it “an emetophobe’s nightmare.”

According to Cleveland Clinic, emetophobia “is a mental health condition in which you experience an intense fear of vomiting, barfing or throwing up.”

While most people don’t enjoy vomiting, this phobia can cause constant worry about vomiting and “can take over your thoughts,” as “this fear impacts your life beyond just feeling afraid. It can prevent you from relaxing, participating in social activities or eating complete, nutritious meals.”

And for those who genuinely struggle with it, viewers are now sharing their warnings after seeing the episode.

One person on Reddit wrote: “I held my ears and covered my head and said ‘let me know when it’s over’.. Other than that scene? love the show,” according to Tyla.

Someone else joked: “If you think about it positively, it could be used as exposure therapy!”

A third one commented: “I watched the episode last night and would have loved to have seen this warning prior. I also hate vomiting and vomit. I have overcome a lot of it as I have aged. But that episode made me so sick watching it.”

Director Max Winkler revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly how they pulled it off.

“We do everything once as a dry run without the vomit. So everybody’s faking it,” Winkler said. “Then we do tubes, which we have to do many tests and figure out what’s the distance, what’s too crazy, what’s just crazy enough, what’s too small. Then we start with them putting stuff in their mouth and just doing that version of it.”

Rebecca Hall plays Lizzie’s stepmother, Abby, and was definitely struggling. The hardest part was keeping her from actually vomiting.

“I’m not good with icky stuff, and I’m really not good with vomiting,” she said. “I have like a hair trigger empathetic response, and I will immediately start [vomiting].

“It seemed like it was gonna require being very, very uncomfortable and, you know, I’m kind of a germaphobe.

“So even if it’s fake vomit, being covered head to toe in vomit and diarrhoea for the day did not seem like a particularly enjoyable experience. And indeed it wasn’t.”

Prince Harry shares rare update

by

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pulled their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, out of their UK school after just two days. They have enrolled their kids in a new school, but the Sussexes have sparked many negative reactions. Now, Harry has broken his silence.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK has, as many predicted, not been exactly drama-free. While the Sussexes enrolled Archie and Lilibet in a UK school before moving across the pond, they pulled them out of the school in just two days.

Reports suggest that security issues were the reason Harry and Meghan decided to change their kids’ school. Still, the couple has received heavy criticism from both experts and parents.

Archie and Lilibet have been enrolled in their new school, but whether they enjoy it is unknown. The school has been kept private.

But now, Prince Harry has given an update on how Archie and Lilibet are doing at school after their turbulent start.

While attending the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards in London on Thursday, the estranged prince broke his silence on how the family’s return to Britain has been.

“We’re getting stuck into the work. Kids are in school. We’re happy,” Harry told Hello! Magazine, describing the family’s first couple of weeks back in the UK as “eventful.”

Despite the confusing start to their UK school adventure, Harry’s latest comments suggest Archie and Lilibet have settled into their new routine.

But like many of us can relate to, enrolling in a new school, or perhaps starting a new job, it can be quite nervous beforehand. Harry revealed that his children at breakfast before leaving for school had “a bit of Monday blues.”

“It was always Sunday night blues when you’re being sent away to boarding school like I was, but for them, at breakfast this morning, I decided, you know what? You’re just being a little bit tricky, so I’m going to tell you exactly what I’m doing tonight.”

The relaxed morning gave Harry a chance to turn the moment into a meaningful conversation, telling Archie and Lilibet about the children and families he would meet later that day.

“They were genuinely fascinated and asking all sorts of questions,” he said. “So, like with all of my work and their mum’s work as well, whatever we can do to try to instil some of that awareness, I think is absolutely crucial.”

With heavy hearts, we report

Former Fox News associate producer Jennifer Eckhart has died at 36.

Eckhart was found dead inside her Florida home on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 19, according to an incident report from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office obtained by People.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office confirmed that her death was ruled a suicide. TMZ was the first outlet to report the news.

Eckhart spent seven years working at Fox Business, where she was an associate producer. But her career became closely tied to a highly publicized legal battle after she accused former Fox News anchor Ed Henry of rape in 2020.

Eckhart accused Henry of sexually assaulting her while they were both working at Fox, saying she was afraid his position and influence could jeopardize her career.

Reflecting on the experience publicly in 2020, she said, ”I think it’s safe to say that I was paralyzed by fear when I was working there.”

She continued, ”I felt that he had the power to derail me, to destroy me, to ruin my career. And, I just, I didn’t have a voice until now.”

Henry repeatedly denied Eckhart’s allegations, maintaining that their relationship had been consensual. Fox News fired him after the network received Eckhart’s complaint and conducted an internal investigation.

Eckhart’s lawsuit described serious allegations against Henry, including claims that she had been sexually assaulted and threatened with retaliation.

Eckhart also named Fox in her lawsuit, accusing the network of failing to protect her and of not taking appropriate action over Henry’s alleged behavior.

However, those claims were dismissed by a federal judge in March 2025. The ruling found that Eckhart had not established that Fox was aware of Henry’s alleged conduct before she came forward with her complaint.

The legal fight continued for years before Eckhart reached a settlement with Henry.

Looking back on the lengthy case in 2025, Eckhart described the experience as deeply difficult.

“This has been an exhaustive, re-traumatizing, five-year legal battle with incredible challenges that at times I almost felt was unable to bear,” she told People in 2025.

”With this settlement in place, a weight has now been lifted from my shoulders and my passion to support fellow trauma survivors has been renewed.”

Rather than allowing the experience to define the rest of her life, Eckhart turned her attention toward helping others.

She founded The Reinvented Project, a nonprofit focused on supporting trauma survivors through animal-assisted therapy, and launched the podcast REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart, where she sought to “give a voice to the voiceless.”

Her guests included musicians and public figures such as Billy Corgan, who spoke with her about subjects including “generational trauma.”

Eckhart often spoke about transforming her own experiences into something that could help others.

”I turned pain into purpose,” Eckhart said. ”I think the overarching theme, as far as this case not going to trial, is that survivors do not require validation from a courtroom to emerge stronger than what tries to break them.”

Her final Instagram post was shared on June 1. In it, Eckhart appeared in Florida and wrote about returning to social media after an absence, teasing that she was working on projects she was excited to share.

“Haven’t posted since the last time gas was under $4. What a time to be alive,” she wrote. “Glad to be sharing this weird little corner of the Internet again. Working on some exciting stuff that I can’t wait to share with you all!”

Now, news of her death has brought an end to the story of a woman who spent her final years trying to turn an intensely painful chapter of her life into something that could help others.

With her execution just days

by

Christa Pike’s legal team and multiple outside groups want Tennessee’s governor to halt her scheduled execution.

Christa Pike has spent more than three decades on death row after being convicted for the 1995 murder of her classmate Colleen Slemmer.

Pike, along with her then-boyfriend and a third friend, lured Slemmer into the woods where they beat and stabbed her to death.

Pike was 18 at the time, and her conviction made her the youngest woman in US history to receive a death sentence.

She’s now set to become the first woman executed by the state of Tennessee in over 200 years. Her execution is scheduled for September 30.

Her legal team has filed for clemency with Governor Bill Lee and several outside groups have joined the effort to stop the execution from moving forward.

Pike’s clemency petition lays out her childhood as one marked by repeated sexual violence, chaos and neglect.

She suffered repeated sexual assault by her grandmother’s boyfriend between the ages of two and five. According to her lawyers, she ‘drew a man with a huge penis and demonic face to explain what happened in her home’ as a child.

The early childhood abuse was followed by a rape at age 11 by a neighbor, who was arrested and pleaded no contest. He served no prison time and moved back into the same neighborhood shortly after.

She was hospitalized at 12 following a suicide attempt.

At 17, Pike was reportedly raped again by a stranger. Court and clemency records also indicate she was diagnosed with severe PTSD and bipolar disorder in the years that followed.2

“Her actions at 18 years old cannot be separated from a childhood marked by repeated rape, sexual abuse, and neglect that went unaddressed by the adults and state systems meant to protect her,” the petition states.

Pike’s attorney, Kelly Gleason, framed the governor’s decision as an opportunity to address a broader failure.

“The governor now has an opportunity to protect a victim of child rape and correct the mistakes of the adults, institutions and systems that consistently failed Christa as a child,” she said.

The state does not dispute that Pike experienced this abuse.

Beyond her legal team, several organizations focused on childhood trauma and abuse prevention have also submitted appeals on Pike’s behalf.

One such group is made up of individuals and organizations focused on raising awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences.

“Christa experienced virtually every form of adversity that those of us who work in this field seek to prevent,” their petition reads.

“Her childhood was marked by chronic sexual abuse and rape, physical and emotional abuse, neglect, caregiver substance abuse, domestic and family violence, poverty, food insecurity, repeated moves and changes in schools, unstable caregivers, and the loss of the one adult she experienced as a consistent source of love and security.”

A separate group, Mercy for Christa, has also petitioned the governor, arguing that life imprisonment would be a more appropriate sentence than execution. The petition has almost reached 25,000 signatures.

“By the time Christa was 18, she had been raped twice. She bears a network of scars on her back from childhood beatings. This childhood trauma left her with severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.”

As of now, Pike’s execution by lethal injection remains scheduled for September 30.

After reading “every police report”

by

Melissa McCarthy, 56, has opened up about her personal theory surrounding the unsolved killing of JonBenét Ramsey – and revealed what she believes as she prepares to portray the six-year-old girl’s mother, Patsy, in the upcoming Netflix drama “The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey.”

To prepare for the role, McCarthy said she went deep into the case, reading “every police report” and “every coroner’s report” she could get her hands on.

After doing so, she said she formed her own personal belief about who was responsible for JonBenét’s death.

“Just my personal feeling. My heart says no one in the family could have done that,” she told Variety.

“I don’t have the ability, or probably the right, to say that, but that’s what my gut says. Which I probably am not supposed to say.

“But shooting [the new show], I had to pick. I had to have that for myself, if nothing else.”

McCarthy also emphasized that the upcoming series is not intended to function as a traditional whodunnit. Instead, she described it as a “character study” focused on the people at the center of the case and what they experienced.

“This might sound nuts: I’m very fond of Patsy,” she said.

“I have so much compassion for them, what they went through, and go through currently.”

Patsy died in 2006, after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

The Ramsey case dates back to December 1996, when JonBenét was found dead in the basement of her family’s Boulder, Colorado, home. She had been beaten and bound, and a ransom note demanding $118,000 for her return was discovered near her body.

An autopsy later revealed that JonBenét died from asphyxia by strangulation associated with craniocerebral trauma. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Despite a major police investigation and years of public attention, no one has been charged with killing JonBenét.

John Ramsey has continued to speak publicly about his daughter’s death over the years. He was not involved in the new Netflix drama and has since remarried, living in Michigan with his wife.

In 2024, John spoke to PEOPLE about a theory of his own, pointing to another violent incident in Boulder that occurred nine months after JonBenét was killed.

According to John, a masked intruder broke into the home of a 12-year-old girl, attacked her and then escaped. The person responsible was never caught.

John said that intruder could “easily have been the same person” responsible for his daughter’s death.

“The police blew it off as, ‘No, it’s not the same,’” he said.

The case remains open nearly three decades later. Boulder Police say they are still actively investigating JonBenét’s homicide as this year marks 30 years since her death.
